SALALAH, OMAN REACHES +600%

The port of Salalah (Southern Oman) grew of the 600% in 15 years of activities that was mainly due to the progressive and continuous improvement of its infrastructures.
Nowadays is one of the most important transshipment port in the world because it receives about 5/6 container-ships per day, that's to say almost 3.6 million TEUs in a year and 7,6 million tons of cargo.

The Singapore shipping company APL, who has been working with Salalah harbor for 10 years, launched a vessel named Salalah. The vessel can load up to 10.700 TEUs, and it's 347 mt. long. In its routing between China and Europe Oman port is a regular stop in order to make APL's customers able to have the shortest and fastest way to connect the Middle East with the Europe - Far East ship route.
Thanks to the port of Salalah Oman was able to be known on grand-scale as a center of production and distribution that keeps improving day after day.
