After the construction of a third new set of locks ( thanks to the collaboration of the "Grupo Unidos por el Canal - GUPC, Salini Impregilo, Jan de Nul and Constructora Urbana - GUPA) in date June 26, 2016 was finally inaugurated the Panama Canal.
