Only after the increasing demand for refrigerated loads stowed in reefer container during the 2nd and the 3rd trimester, will VTE increase of up to 6800 mq the availability of suitable areas for refrigerated container with plug-ins, which have to ensure the electricity supply to the reefer contaienr  in transit.

The area at issue is going to be equipped for keeping plugged-in simultaneously up to 360x40 HIGH CUBE REEFER allowing the VTE to reach a total capacity of 1384 sockets and to outdo the receptive capacity for this kind of container compared to all the other Piers in Genoa and ports in the northern Tyrrhenian.

IFA, which has in the transport of refrigerated or frozen goods part of its core business, is already using the port of Genoa as an important point of departure, destination or transshipment of shipments in reefer container.
