RUSSIA: THE EXPORT RESPONSE TO THE CRISIS

Among the different countries whit which Italy trades and exports, Russia is doubtless the main commerce for Italian export.

Despite the present period of crisis and the closure of tons of markets there are more and more Italian companies using export to Russia, a country that place itself 5^th among our major importers and that represents an opportunity of an always growing business.

According to ISTAT data of 2013 the interchange between Italy and Russia has grown 15,9% compared to the previous year and is still growing.

The sectors in which a major increase in exports in 2013 have been observed are the following:

- Mechanical engineering with a total amount of 3.3 billion euros

- Fashion industry ( accessories included) with a total amount of 2.1 billion euros

- Furniture industry and construction field with a total amount of 1 billion euros
